1. Ôn tập lý thuyết cấu trúc so sánh hơn và so sánh hơn nhất

1.1. So sánh hơn

1.1.1. Cách dùng 

So sánh hơn là một dạng so sánh cơ bản trong tiếng Anh, dùng để so sánh đặc điểm, tính chất giữa hai chủ thể hoặc hai sự vật với nhau.

1.1.2. Công thức

• So sánh hơn với tính từ ngắn:

S1 + V + Adj/Adv-er + than + S2

Ví dụ. Hoa is taller than Mai. (Hoa cao hơn Mai.)

• So sánh hơn với tính từ dài:

S1 + V + more + Adj/ Adv + than + S2

Ví dụ. Huong is more intelligent than Minh. (Hương thông minh hơn Minh.)

• So sánh kém hơn:

S1 + V + Less + Adj + than + S2

Ví dụ. Nam is taller than Khang. (Nam cao hơn Khang.)

=> Khang is less taller than Nam. (Khang không cao như Nam.)

• So sánh gấp bao nhiêu lần:

S1 + V + số lần + as + Adj/adv + as + S2

Ví dụ. Apples are twice as expensive as oranges. (Táo đắt gấp 2 lần cam.)

• So sánh cấp tiến (càng… càng…)

The more Adj/ The Adj-er + S1 + V, the more Adj/ The Adj-er + S2 + V

Ví dụ. The harder you are, the more successful you are. (Bạn càng chăm chỉ thì bạn sẽ càng thành công.)

1.2. So sánh hơn nhất

1.2.1. Cách dùng

So sánh hơn nhất là một dạng so sánh cơ bản trong tiếng Anh, dùng để nêu lên đặc điểm khác biệt, tính chất nổi bật nhất của một đối tượng so với các đối tượng còn lại trong cùng 1 nhóm. Trong đó khi so sánh hơn nhất phải có từ 3 đối tượng trở lên.

1.2.2. Công thức

• So sánh hơn nhất với tính từ ngắn

S1 + V + the + Adj/adv- est + N

Ví dụ. Anna is the tallest in the class. (Anna là người cao nhất trong lớp.)

• So sánh hơn nhất với tính từ dài

S1 + V + the + most + adj + N

Ví dụ. Jimmy is the most clever student in this class. (Jimmy là người thông minh nhất trong lớp học này.)

• So sánh kém nhất 

S1 + V + the + least + Adj/Adv + N

Ví dụ. This machine works the least efficiently in the factory. (Động cơ này làm việc kém hiệu quả nhất trong nhà máy.
